Colombia - Landslide (ECHO 05 Dec 2022)

A landslide event caused by continuous heavy rainfall was reported on 4 November in Risaralda Department (central-western Colombia), specifically in La Cabaña Sector, on a national road connecting Risaralda to Choco Department.
The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) reports three fatalities, six injured people, and seven rescued individuals. More than 20 people are missing and search and rescue operations are continuing.
Moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast on 5-6 December across central and western Colombia, including Risaralda Department.
