Since 18 January, heavy rainfall and strong winds have been affecting southern France, particularly the Aude, Hérault, and Corsica departments, causing floods, evacuations, and damage.
According to media reports, the neighborhoods of Maraussan and Mayolle in the city of Narbonne have been evacuated because of flooding. In addition, many roads have been cut off in the affected departments.
On 21–22 January, light to moderate precipitation is expected across southern and western France. Orange alerts for rain-flood and high waves are in effect over western France.
