  • On 6-7 February, a series of earthquakes from light to moderate magnitude shook Davao de Oro and other Provinces in eastern Mindanao.
  • On 7 March at 8.47 UTC (16.47 local time), another earthquake of 5.6 M at a depth of 10 km hit Davao Province. The epicentre is located approximately 11 km north-east of New Bataan Town (Davao de Oro Province, Davao Region).
  • USGS estimates that up to 1,000 people were exposed to very strong shaking and up to 31,000 people to strong shaking.
  • According to media, some houses collapsed and 300 people have been evacuated in Andap village, less than 5 km south of New Bataan Town.
