Mongala Province, DR Congo, May 2023, September 2023Local media in DR Congo reported heavy rain triggered a landslide in Lisala, Mongala Province, 16 to 17 September 2023. As of 17 September, 17 people had died and seven survivors had been located. More are feared missing under the landslide that buried homes at the foot of a hillside close to the banks of the Congo River.
