Mongolia, Early July 2023Heavy rain in early July caused the Tuul, Terelj, Selbe, Uliastai and Kherlen rivers to rise in Ulaanbaatar and surrounding areas Mongolia. On 05 July Mongolia's Emergency Management Office (NEMA) reported buildings and roads were flooded in Bayanzurkh, Sukhbaatar, Songinohairkhan, Khan-Uul, Chingeltei districts. River embankments collapsed in 2 locations. Hundreds of emergency personnel were deployed to build temporary flood defences. A bridge connecting Chingeltei and Sukhbaatar districts collapsed.
