Northern Algeria, September 2020Storms brought heavy rainfall 07 to 08 September to northern provinces of Algeria. 1 fatality was reported in the city of Mila. Civil Protection were called on to carry out several flood rescues in Oum El Bouaghi and Batna. Around 800 homes were flooded in Boumerdes and 40 homes in Khenchela. Flooding also affected the capital, Algiers, and surrounding areas. Roads were inundated, causing severe traffic disruption in at least 5 municipalities, including Sidi Mhamed where 2 buildings partially collapsed.Mon 7 Sep 2020FloodList provided by Copernicus GLOFAS
