  • A new Tropical Cyclone named DOUGLAS formed over the Eastern Pacific Ocean on 22 July and started moving north-west towards Hawaii. On 23 July, its centre was located offshore, approximately 2,500 km south-east of the Big Island (Hawaii), with maximum sustained wind of 155 km/h.
  • DOUGLAS is forecast to move northwestward and it is expected to approach the central Hawaii at the evening of 26 July (UTC), with maximum sustained wind of 140-155 km/h.
  • Heavy rain, strong wind, and storm surge are expected over Hawaii on 26-27 July. To date, there is no warning issued by NOAA over Hawaii.

  • Tropical Cyclone DOUGLAS continued moving north-west over the Eastern Pacific Ocean toward the Hawaii. On 24 July at 3.00 UTC, its centre was located offshore, approximately 1,770 km south-east of the Big Island (Hawaii), with maximum sustained winds of 215 km/h.
  • DOUGLAS is forecast to continue moving northwestward over the Ocean and it is expected to approach the central Hawaii on 26 July late in the afternoon (UTC), with maximum sustained winds of 140-145 km/h. 
  • Heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surge are forecast over the Hawaii on 25-27 July. To date, there are no warning issued by NOAA over the Hawaii.
