At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Surigae was
located near Latitude 17.4 degrees North and Longitude 135.6 degrees
East. Surigae is moving west-northwest at 16 mph. It is expected to
maintain this general course with a slight decrease in forward speed
over the next couple of days, then turn north-northwest over the
weekend.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 40 mph. Surigae is
forecast to slowly intensify over the next few days.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to 65
miles to the north and up to 0 miles to the south.

was located near Latitude 16.7 degrees North and Longitude 137.0
degrees East. Surigae is moving northwest at 10 mph. It will make a
slight turn toward the west-northwest with a slight increase in
forward speed through Friday. This general forecast track would take
Surigae fairly close to Okinawa early next week.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 35 mph. Surigae is
forecast to intensify through tonight possibly becoming a
tropical storm.

little change in forward speed through Thursday. No direct impacts
are expected for the Marianas as the system continues to move away
from the region.

Maximum sustained winds are 30 mph. 25W is forecast to intensify
through Thursday.
