forward speed through Thursday.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 40 mph. Saudel is forecast
to intensify through Thursday.

Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to
90 miles to the south and up to 45 miles to the north.

the Far Northern Mariana Islands as a dangerous category 3 or 4
typhoon.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 35 mph. 17W is forecast to intensify
through Sunday, likely becoming a tropical storm later this evening.

likely reflects a temporary wobble as TD 17W continues to organize. It
is expected to make a turn toward the northwest with an increase in
forward speed through Friday. This general forecast track still points
to Tropical Depression 17W passing through the far northern Mariana
Islands Saturday evening as a dangerous category 3 or 4 typhoon.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to 35 mph. 17W is forecast
to intensify through Sunday, with intensification possibly becoming
rapid on Friday.
