DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Depression
Nangka was located near Latitude 23.3 degrees North and Longitude
145.1 degrees East. Nangka (formerly Invest 91W) is moving
northeast at 21 mph. It is expected to maintain this general
course with a dramatic decrease in forward speed through Friday.
Nangka continues moving away from the Marianas, likely moving
north of 25N and exiting our region tonight.

Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph. Nangka is forecast to
intensify through Friday possibly becoming a tropical storm later
this morning.
