Storm Dennis, UK, February 2020Heavy rain brought by Storm Dennis fell on ground already saturated from the previous Storm Ciara, caused floods in England and Wales from 15 February, 2020. The Environment Agency in England issued a record number of warnings and alerts. Evacuations were carried out as a result of flooding, mostly in South Wales (mostly in the county of Rhondda Cynon Taf) and the West Midlands of England. Heavy rain triggered a landslide in Tylorstown, Rhondda Cynon Taf. One person was thought to have died as a result of flooding in Ystradgynlais, Wales. Police later said the fatality was not weather-related. One woman died after being swept away by the River Teme near Tenbury Wells in Worcestershire, England.
