  • Over the past few days, heavy rainfall has affected southern Western Australia State causing flash floods and resulting in casualties.
  • According to media, at least seven people are reported missing following the event.
  • In addition, a new tropical cyclone named EIGHTEEN formed on 11 March over the south-eastern Indian Ocean, is moving towards the north-western coast of Western Australia and it could pass very close to the Pilbara Coast, north-western Western Australia on 16-17 March bringing heavy rainfall.
  • For the next 48 hours, moderate rain is expected over parts of north-western, central and southern Western Australia State.
