16 Hoffman Estates firefighters stranded at Mexican resort

Sixteen firefighters from Hoffman Estates -- about 20 percent of the department -- are stuck in Cabo San Lucas after Hurricane Odile struck while they were at the Mexican resort for a wedding.

MEXICO CITY – Odile is now a weak hurricane, slowly intensifying as it spins northwest along Mexico’s southern Pacific coast. The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Odile’s maximum sustained winds had increased to 80 (130 kph) by late Saturday morning.
