  • An earthquake of 5.7 M at a depth of 13 km occurred in the Altai Republic, southern central Russia on 15 February at 1:48 UTC (8:48 local time). The epicentre was located 27 km west of Kosh-Agach village, Kosh-Agachsky District.
  • USGS PAGER estimated that up to 5,000 people were exposed to strong shaking.
  • According to media some villages close to the epicentre, Beltir, Kosh-Agach, Chagan-Uzun, Mukhor-Tarkhata, Ortolyk, Kurai, Tobeler, and Telengit-Sortogo experienced minor damage and power outages. No casualties have been reported.
