  • Extreme heavy rainfall due to a high-altitude isolated depression (DANA in Spanish) has particularly affected the province of Valencia in eastern Spain since 28 October, causing flash floods and severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • According to the Department of National Security of Spain (DSN) and media, as of 31 October, the death toll reached 132 people, with 114 people still missing, mainly in the Autonomous Region of Valencia. 3 casualties are reported in Castilla-La Mancha autonomous community, and 1 in Andalusia autonomous Regions. At least 447 people have been sheltered and 3,500 rescued. More than 155,000 households have been affected by widespread power outages and 315,000 are without water service.
  • In addition, more than 70 roads are still affected, some main roads, such as the A-3 and A-7, have been closed in the Autonomous Region of Valencia, and authorities have recommended avoiding roads in the provinces of Valencia, Cádiz, Seville and Huelva.
  • The Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS) was activated in rapid mapping mode () on 30 October to provide emergency mapping of flood extent in the Valencia region.
  • On 31 October - 1 November, more rainfall is expected over eastern Spain, with local thunderstorms in north of Valencia, Catalonia and southern Aragon.
