  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting south-eastern Australia, in particular the Greater Sidney area, eastern New South Wales State, since 5 April, causing floods and rivers overflow, particularly the Bellingen River, that have resulted in evacuations and damage.
  • Media report as of 8 April, six injured people in the Mudgee City (central-western New South Wales State). In addition, media also report approximately 300 evacuated families and around 200 rescued people throughout the Greater Sidney area. Moreover, around 100 flights were cancelled in the Sidney International Airport.
  • Over the next 48 hours, locally heavy rainfall is still forecast over south-eastern New South Wales State.
