Tropical Cyclone Muifa, China, Taiwan, September 2022Tropical Cyclone Muifa made landfall on the coast of Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, China on 14 September, and again on the coast of Fengxian, Shanghai early 15 September. Media reported pre-emptive evacuation of 395,000 people in Shanghai and nearly 838,000 people in Zhejiang. Ships were ordered to return to port, schools were closed, some flights cancelled.
