Tropical Storm Gamma, Central America, October 2020Disaster authorities in Mexico report flooding and landslides in Tabasco and Chiapas states after heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Gamma and two cold fronts from 01 October. 4 fatalities were reported in Chiapas and 2 in Tabasco. Thousands of people were affected by floods after releases from the Penitas Dam in Tabasco. Around 3,500 people were evacuated. Heavy rainfall resulting in flooding was also reported in parts of Honduras and El Salvador.
