Kampala, Uganda, September 2020Police in Uganda reported 2 people died in flash floods in Kampala on 10 September. Flooding in the city blocked roads and disrupted traffic. A building collapsed in Makindye division on 11 September. it is not clear if flooding was the cause of the collapse.
Note: Flood event cause noted as "Extreme Rainfall" and "Unknown". Rainfall data showed moderate amounts. Local observers criticised inadequate drainage systems.
