Madagascar, January 2020Heavy rain from around 07 January caused flash flooding and landslides in several regions of Madagascar, including the capital Antananarivo. As of 20 January more severe weather was expected and some flooding was reported in Mahajanga, Boeny Region. On 23 January, BNGRC reported that 13 people had died in recent flooding, which affected over 47,000 people in the regions of Diana, Boeny, Analamanga, Melaky, Sofia, Betsiboka and Alaotra-Mangoro. By 25 January, 26 deaths were reported by BNGRC, with 15 people reported missing. Almost 93,000 people were affected.Tue 7 Jan 2020FloodList provided by Copernicus GloFAS
