  • New Tropical Strom DUJUAN (locally known as AURING) is moving north-west over the Philippine Sea. On 18 February at 0.00 UTC its centre was located approx. 600 km south-east of the south-eastern coast of Mindanao (southern Philippines), with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h.
  • DUJUAN is expected to move north-west over the Philippine Sea, strengthening and could reach the coast of north-eastern Mindanao late on 20 February.
  • On 14-15 February, heavy rain caused flooding and landslides in Davao Region (south-eastern Mindanao), affecting more than 31,220 people and displacing 1,424 residents according to the AHA Centre.
  • Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast over Mindanao and Visayas from 19 February.

  • Tropical Storm DIJUAN (locally known as Auring) is strengthening as it moves north-west over the Philippine Sea. On 19 February at 0.00 UTC, it was approximately 510 km off the south-eastern coast of Mindanao (southern Philippines), with maximum sustained winds of 83 km/h.
  • DIJUAN is expected to make landfall in Surigao del Sur Province (Caraga Regin, north-eastern Mindanao) late 20 February - early 21 February, with maximum sustained winds up to 100 km/h.
  • Preemptive evacuation orders have been issued for Caraga Region, particularly in Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Provinces.
  • A Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal 1 has been issued for eastern Mindanao.

  • The passage of tropical storm DUJUAN (locally named Auring) over Caraga Region (northern Mindanao) and Eastern Visayas Region on 21 February (UTC), caused evacuations and damage.
  • The Philippine News Agency reports as of 22 February, more than 12,820 families temporarily sheltered across 308 evacuation centres and more than 13,810 affected families throughout Caraga, Northern Mindanao and Southern Mindanao Regions. In addition, nearly 180 damaged houses were reported in Caraga and 32 domestic flights were reported cancelled across Mindanao. DG ECHO partners are providing relief assistance.
  • Over the next 24 hours, very heavy rain is forecast over northern Mindanao, the whole Visayas Archipelago and southern Luzon.
  • PAGASA has issued an extreme flood advisory for Caraga and Eastern Visayas, a severe flood advisory for Northern Mindanao, Central Visayas and Bicol, as well as a moderate flood advisory for Western Visayas, Mimaropa and Calabarzon.
