  • Bezymianny volcano, located in the central-eastern Kamchatka Peninsula (eastern Russia) erupted on 22 October and the ash column raised more than 9,400 metres.
  • According to media reports, the ash fall (up to 1 millimetre thick) has covered the settlements of Lazo and Atlasovo (Milkovsky District).
  • Local authorities recommended people living close to the volcano to close windows and stay indoors.
