  • A new tropical cyclone named YINXING ("Marce" in the Philippines) formed over the Philippine Sea early in the morning (UTC) of 3 November and started moving north-west toward the northern Luzon island, northern Philippines and the Luzon Strait, between Philippines and southern Taiwan, strengthening.
  • On 5 November at 0.00 its centre was located offshore, approximately 610 km south-east of the Santa Ana town, far north-eastern Luzon island, with maximum sustained winds of 139 km/h (typhoon).
  • YINXING is expected to continue northwestward over the northern Philippine Sea on 5-7 November, further strengthening. After that, it is forecast to pass over the Babuyan islands and just south of the Batanes islands in the Luzon Strait on 7 November, with maximum sustained winds up to 176 km/h.
  • Over the next 96 hours, heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is forecast over the Babuyan and the Batanes islands and over most of the Luzon island.

  • Tropical cyclone YINXING ("Marce" in the Philippines) is moving west-northwest towards the northern Philippines, strengthening. On 6 November at 3.00 UTC, its centre was located offshore, approximately 295 km east of Aparri municipality, Cagayan province, northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 150 km/h (typhoon) and gusts up to 185 km/h as registered by PAGASA.
  • YINXING is expected to continue west-northwest and it will cross Babuyan islands, northern Philippines in the Luzon Strait on 7 November passing very close to the northern coast of Luzon. After that, it is forecast to move west over the eastern South China Sea, weakening.
  • Over the next 48 hours, heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is forecast over the Babuyan and the Batanes islands and over most of the Luzon island. 
  • In late October, central and northern Philippines were hit by the combined effect of Severe Tropical Storm Trami and Super Typhoon Kong-Rey which resulted in 151, fatalities, 21 missing people and 134 injured people.

  • Tropical cyclone YINXING ("Marce" in the Philippines) is moving west and is passing very close to the north-eastern coast of Cagayan province (north-eastern Philippines). On 6 November at 6.00 UTC, its centre was located in the sea, approximately 38 km east of the coastal city of Santa Ana city, Cagayan province, northern Luzon, with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h (typhoon) and gusts up to 240 km/h as reported by PAGASA.
  • According to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-DROMIC), 3,253 people have been displaced in Cagayan Valley (of whom 2,714 sheltered in 64 evacuation centres) and 3,275 others have been affected in three provinces of the aforementioned region, Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela.
  • YINXING is expected to continue west moving between the northern coast of Luzon and the Babuyan islands on 7 November as a typhoon. After that, on 8 November, it will pass over the South China Sea, and it could change direction southwestwards weakening and dissipating on 12 November.
  • On 7-8 November, heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surge are expected over the Babuyan and the Batanes islands and over most of the Luzon island.

  • Tropical cyclone YINXING (named "Marce" in the Philippines) passed over the far northern Luzon island (northern Philippines) on 7 November as a typhoon, with maximum sustained winds up to 231 km/h. On 8 November at 6.00 UTC its centre was located over the South China Sea, west of the coast of northern Luzon and approximately 840 km east of the Hainan island, southern China, with maximum sustained winds of 167 km/h (typhoon).
  • Its passage over northern Philippines caused very heavy rainfall, strong winds and storm surges. NDRRMC reports, as of 8 November, nearly 14,400 evacuated people - of which aproximately 11,550 in 186 evacuation centres - and a total of more than 20,650 affected people across northern Luzon.
  • YINXING is expected to continue westward over the South China Sea on 8-11 November, further weakening and becoming a tropical storm on 11 November.
  • Over the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is still forecast over northern and central Luzon. Heavy rainfall is also forecast over southern Hainan island as of 11 November.

  • Tropical cyclone YINXING ("Marce" in the Philippines) continued moving southwestward over the South China Sea on 11 November as a tropical storm, further weakening and becoming a tropical depression. On 12 November at 6.00 UTC its centre was located over the sea very close to the coastal city of Quy Nhon, Bình Dinh province, central Viet Nam, with maximum sustained winds of 56 km/h (tropical depression).
  • The passage of YINXING over northern Philippines caused very heavy rainfall, strong winds, storm surges, floods and landslides. NDRRMC reports, as of 12 November, one person missing, one injured, 265 people evacuated and a total of over 375,000 affected people across northern Luzon.
  • YINXING is expected to continue westward inland over central Viet Nam and eastern Cambodia on 12-13 November as a tropical depression, further weakening and dissipating.
  • Over the next 72 hours, heavy rainfall with locally very heavy rainfall is forecast over central and southern Viet Nam and over most of Cambodia.
