Gulf Province, Papua New GuineaLocal media, quoting provincial politicians, reported on 07 April that 60,000 people have been affected by flooding in Papua New Guinea's Gulf Province. Many have lost their homes and gardens. The provincial governor said flooding had affected affected nine local level governments (LLGs): Moripi, Toaripi, Taure Lakekamu, Malalaua Urban, Kaipi Melaripi, Kerema Urban, Ihu East, Ihu West and Baimuru. Provincial disaster authorities will complete damage assessments after the flood recedes. Note: No dates were given.
