Northern Spain, Late November 2021Servicio de Emergencias del Principado De Asturias (SEPA) reported evacuations and rescues after severe flooding in parts of Asturias from 23 November 2021. 40 patients were evacuated from the Hospital del Oriente, in Arriondas, due to the floods. As a precaution, around 600 students and teachers from 2 schools in Arriondas were also evacuated. A helicopter was used to rescue 3 people from a house surrounded by floods in Piloña. Emergency teams in boats rescued 1 person in Las Rozas and another in La Noceda, Arriondas. In neighbouring Cantabria, 112 Cantabria said teams carried out 22 interventions due to heavy rain on 24 November.
