Western Kenya, January 2020Heavy rain from around 26 January caused rivers to overflow in parts of western Kenya, including in Ndhiwa, Homa Bay County, where 117 families were displaced, Narok County and Turkana County. On 31 January media reported one person died in flooding in Narok. Kenya Broadcasting Corporation reported flooding in Nyatike and Uriri areas of Migori County where 3 fatalities were later reported. During this time media also reported that landslides in Marani Sub-County, Kisii County, displaced 200 families and affected 400 families.
