- A huge wildfire has been burning across northern Tenerife Island, central Canary Islands, Spain. The wildfire started between 15 August in the evening and 16 August in the morning (UTC) and currently it is affecting Arafo and Candelaria Municipalities, Santa Cruz de Tenerife Province. According to official data from the local authorities of the Canary Islands, as of 17 August, the burnt area is more than 1,600 hectares and the wildfire is currently not fully contained.
- Media report, as of the same date, approximately 150 evacuated people from four municipalities (Arafo, Candelaria, El Rosario and Santa Ursula).
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service was activated in rapid mapping mode () on 16 August to provide the damage assessment of the affected area.
- Over the next 24 hours, according to EFFIS, the fire danger forecast is expected from moderate to very high over the whole Tenerife Island.

- As of 18 August, the wildfire continue to burn across northern Tenerife Island, central Canary Islands, since 15 August in the evening (UTC) and currently it is affecting Arafo, Candelaria, Tacoronte, La Orotava, El Rosario, Santa Ursula, La Victoria, La Matanza and El Sauzal Municipalities. The wildfire is currently not contained.
- According to the Government of the Canary Islands, as of 17 August, the burnt area is nearly 3,300 hectares. As of 18 August, according to the JRC European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS), the burnt area is already much higher and it estimates approximately 7,800 hectares.
- Local authorities report more than 3,000 evacuated people across the aforementioned affected Municipalities and 3,820 confined people in La Esperanza Town (El Rosario Municipality).
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service was activated in rapid mapping mode (EMSR685) on 16 August to provide the damage assessment of the affected area.
- Over the next 48 hours, according to JRC EFFIS, the fire danger forecast is expected from moderate to extreme over the whole Tenerife Island.

- As of 21 Agust, the wildfire continues to burn across central and northern Tenerife Island (central Canary Islands, Spain) since 15 August in the evening (UTC) affecting 11 municipalities across the island. The wildfire is not under control, but partially stabilised in some areas.
- According to the Government of the Canary Islands, as 21 August, the burnt area is more than 12,800 hectares and approximately 13,000 people were evacuated (of which around 1,000 in evacuation centres) across the affected Municipalities. At this time, the return to the Municipalities of Arafo and Candelaria is being organised.
- The Copernicus Emergency Management Service was activated in rapid mapping mode (EMSR685) on 16 August and one map was produced so far.
- Over the next 48 hours, according to the JRC EFFIS, the fire danger forecast is expected to be from moderate to very high over the whole Tenerife Island.
