Afghanistan, May 2024Severe flash floods impacted several provinces of Afghanistan following heavy rain that began around 09 May 2024. WFP in Afghanistan reported more than 300 people died in Baghlan Province where more than 1,000 houses were destroyed. Afghanistan's Interior Ministry also reported flooding in Takhar and Herat Provinces.
