Public transportation systems flooded in New York, hundreds of thousands of people remain without electricity in Louisiana. The number of victims of Hurricane Ida in the northeastern United States on Sunday amounted to at least 50 people. At the same time, many have not given up hope of finding people missing during the flooding.

All Berks schools dismissing early due to threat of Ida

Buckets of rain are forecast for Berks County today due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida, and that has led local school districts to alter their schedules. Seventeen of the county’s 18 districts will dismiss students early today, and the Reading School District is conducting virtual learning all day.
