Event. A magnitude-5.1 offshore earthquake occurred in the Coral Sea west of Vanuatu at around 0425 VUT Feb. 21. The epicenter was about 52 km (32 miles) west-northwest of Port Vila. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 10 km (6 miles), and light shaking was probably felt throughout Vanuatu.
