Le cyclone Marian a atteint l'équivalent de la catégorie 4 sur l'échelle de Saffir-Simpson. Perdu au milieu de l'océan Indien, c'est le 9e phénomène nommé de la saison. Il ne menace aucune terre habitée et va revenir en direction de l’Australie pour disparaître là où vont mourir les cyclones. Marian, 9e phénomène nommé de la saison.
