Tropical Storm Sanvu is moving toward the north-northwest at 17 mph. It is expected to make a slight turn toward the northwest with a dramatic decrease in forward speed over the next 24 hours, followed by a turn toward the north then northeast Thursday. Maximum sustained winds remain at 50 mph. Tropical Storm Sanvu is forecast to intensify through Thursday, possibly becoming a typhoon Thursday night. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 240 miles south of the center and up to 190 miles north of the center of the storm.
