At 700 PM CHST...0900 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Sanvu

was located near latitude 23.2 North and longitude 147.4 East.

Tropical Storm Sanvu is moving toward the north at 13 mph.

It is expected to make a turn toward the northwest with

little change in forward speed over the next 24 hours.



Maximum sustained winds have increased to 50 mph. Tropical Storm

Sanvu is forecast to intensify through Wednesday.



Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 240 miles from

the center of the storm.
