Typhoon Banyan is moving toward the north-northwest at 3 mph. It is expected to maintain this general motion with an increase in forward speed over the next 24 hours. Maximum sustained winds remain at 105 mph. Typhoon Banyan is forecast to intensify through Tuesday. Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 15 miles and tropical storm force winds extend out from the center up to 60 miles on the eastern side of the storm and 40 miles on the western side.
