At 100 AM CHST...1500 UTC...the center of Tropical Storm Muifa was

located near Latitude 14.5 North and Longitude 134.1 East.

Tropical Storm Muifa is moving toward the north-northwest at 8

mph. It is expected to make a turn toward the north-northeast with

little change in forward speed over the next 24 hours.



Maximum sustained winds remain at 45 mph. Tropical Storm Muifa is

forecast to intensify today, maintain intensity tonight, then

begin to weaken Friday. Tropical Storm Muifa could then dissipate

Friday night or Saturday.



Tropical storm force winds extend outward from the center up to

60 miles.
