Cameroon - Floods and landslides (ECHO 20 Mar 2023)

On 18-19 March, Buea City (the capital of Southwest Region, southwestern Cameroon) experienced torrential rains that caused floods and landslides and resulted in casualties and damage.
According to media, at least one person died, six are missing, and five have been injured. In addition, the same source reports damage to properties and flooded roads.
National authorities and volunteers of the Red Cross are providing help for those most affected.
For the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain with isolated thunderstorms is forecast over the affected City.
