Burundi, Late January to Early February 2023IOM reported heavy rain in Gitega and Bubanza provinces in Burundi in late January and early February 2023. Flooding was reported in parts of Bujumbura Rural. In total 28,473 people were affected and 1,029 were displaced. Strong winds and hail also affected several areas of the country during this period, in particular Ngozi, Makamba, Bujumbura Rural, and Cibtoke.
