  • Heavy rain has been affecting eastern Australia (in particular central and south-eastern Queensland and the neighbouring north-eastern New South Wales) over the last week, causing rivers overflow (in particular Macintyre, and Logan Rivers) and floods that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • Media report, as of 2 December, two fatalities, of which one in Toowoomba Town area (Darling Downs Region, south-eastern Queensland) and one in Hibernia (Central Highlands Region, central Queensland). In addition, media report around 1,000 evacuated people across the Inglewood Town area (Goondiwindi Region, south-eastern Queensland).
  • The Copernicus Emergency Mapping Service (EMS) was activated in rapid mapping mode () on 1 December. So far, one satellite map was produced over the affected area across south-eastern Queensland.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more rain is forecast over south-eastern Queensland and north-eastern New South Wales. The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued several warnings for major and moderate flood over the aforementioned area.
Central Queensland, Late November 2021Local media report one person died after driving a vehicle into floodwaters in Hibernia, central Queensland.
