  • Rain and widespread flooding due to the Southwest Monsoon continue to affect most of the States of India. The death toll reached 413 people across 12 States, mainly in central, western, and eastern parts of the country.
  • As per daily report by the National Emergency Response Centre (NDMI), as of 14 July, 114 people were reported dead in West Bengal, 85 in Assam, 81 in Gujarat, 62 in Karnataka, 22 in Kerala, 16 in Arunachal Pradesh, 14 in Chhattisgarh, 8 in Meghalaya, 8 in Nagaland, and 3 across Punjab.
  • The same source reports more than 72,350 displaced people, and more than 6,500,550 affected people across the aforementioned States. In addition, more than 20,430 houses were damaged, of which around 2,500 fully damaged.
  • Over the next 24 hours, more heavy rain is forecast over most of the country, except over northern States. Locally very heavy rain is forecast over western, and northeastern States.
