Rize Province, Turkey, August 2019Heavy rain caused urban and flash flooding in parts of Rize Province, Turkey, on 04 August, 2019. Local observers said 120mm of rain fell in 4 hours. Provincial government statements said the Salarha Deresi (creek / stream) overflowed (Google maps shows the Salarha area as Caykent and the creek as Tasli Creek).
