  • Heavy rainfall and strong winds affected the Java island (mainly the western part of the island) over 7-8 March, causing floods, strong wind-related incidents and triggering landslides that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 9 March, seven fatalities, of whom four are in the Bekasi regency (West Java province) and three more across the Jember and Pasuruan regencies (East Java province).
  • ADINet also reports four still missing persons across the Bekasi regency and two injured persons across the Jember and Pasuruan regencies. In addition, the same source reports 617 displaced people (495 in the Banten province and 122 in the Jakarta province, with a part in two evacuation centres). Furthermore, a total of over 53 500 affected people were reported across the Banten, Jakarta, West Java and East Java provinces.
  • Over the next 48 hours, moderate rainfall is still forecast over the whole Java island.

  • Heavy rainfall has been affecting the southern Sumatra island and the neighbouring western Java island since 4 April, causing floods, flash floods and overflowing rivers that have resulted in casualties, population displacement and damage.
  • In Sumatra, the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports as of 7 April, one still missing person, 3 801 affected people and 717 damaged houses across the Lampung and Bengkulu provinces.
  • In Java, ADINet reports 360 displaced people (of whom 120 evacuated in two evacuation centres), more than 11 100 affected people and over 3 000 damaged houses across the Banten and West Java provinces.
  • Over the next 5 days, more rainfall with locally heavy rainfall is still forecast over the whole Java island. More rainfall and locally heavy rainfall are also forecast over most of the Sumatra island over the next 4 days.

  • Heavy rainfall and strong winds affected the Java island (central Indonesia) over 10-12 April, causing floods and strong wind-related incidents that have resulted in affected population and damage.
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 15 April, nearly 3 100 affected people and more than 760 damaged houses across the Pasuruan regency (the most affected, in the East Java province) and the Grobogan regency (Central Java province).
  • Over the next 72 hours, more rainfall is still forecast over most of the Java island, with heavy rainfall over the western regencies.

  • According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 14 April, 109 people were displaced and a total of 2 860 affected.
  • Over the next 48 hours, additional light rain is forecast over Central Java.

  • Heavy rainfall affected the Java island (central Indonesia) over 15-18 April, causing floods and river overflows that have resulted in casualties and damage.
  • The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 20 April, one injured person, around 25 displaced people, more than 2 000 affected people and 522 damaged houses (of which two were destroyed) across the Bogor regency (West Java province). In addition, ADINet also reports 33 displaced people and 34 damaged houses (of which one is destroyed) across the Klaten regency (Central Java province).
  • Over the next 48 hours, moderate rainfall is forecast over most of the Java island.
