  • A tropical depression, formed in the South China Sea on 29 May, is moving north towards south-eastern China.
  • The weather system will strengthen slightly and it will approach the south-central coast of the Guangdong Province as a tropical depression on 31 May late morning (UTC). After that, it will continue north-east, dissipating towards the Jiangxi Province.
  • For the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected over Hainan Island - under a blue typhoon warning - Fujian, Guangdong, southern and eastern Jiangxi, and central and southern Zhejiang provinces.
